1. Overview

Authenticator⁺ ("the App") is a two-factor authentication (2FA) application for iOS, operated by Pluriventures LLP ("we," "us," or "our"). The App stores your 2FA account secrets locally on your device and generates the one-time verification codes (TOTP and HOTP) you use to sign in to other services. The App operates on-device and does not send your secrets or codes to any server.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of 18, you must have parental or legal guardian consent. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Security Responsibilities

Because the App is designed so that your data stays under your control, you are responsible for safeguarding it:

• Your device and its lock. Keep your device passcode and Face ID secure. Anyone who can unlock your device and open the App can see your codes.
• Your backup password. Encrypted backups are protected by a password only you know. We cannot read your backup and cannot recover a lost backup password. If you lose it, the backup cannot be restored.
• Your recovery options. Always keep the recovery codes or backup methods provided by each service you protect. If you lose access to this App and have no backup, we cannot restore your 2FA accounts for you.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Plans

The App offers an optional paid subscription with the following plan options:

• Weekly — billed every week, with a free trial where offered
• Annual — billed every year

The exact price, trial length, and available plans are shown in the App before you purchase.

4.2 Billing & Payment

All subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins automatically. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

4.3 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with its refund policy.

5. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. The App, its design, and its underlying software remain our property.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with subscription verification or any security-related features of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law
• Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or any automated means to access or interact with the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App

7. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services including, but not limited to:

• Apple App Store — for distribution and billing
• RevenueCat — for subscription management and purchase validation
• PostHog and Sentry — for privacy-preserving analytics and crash diagnostics

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these third-party services. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• The App will be compatible with every service that offers two-factor authentication
• Any defects will be corrected in a timely manner

You are responsible for maintaining independent recovery options for the accounts you protect with the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pluriventures LLP and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, access to accounts, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

11. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
